Our home is 25-years old and required substantial outside work on the siding and front stoop. We contracted for vinyl siding and other work on the front stoop with Aluminum Company of North Carolina. Jeff Monsein did the interview and quote for us. He gave us the confidence to go with his company. The interview was superbly pleasant and productive. With this work we had an excellent home improvement experience.

The earlier work of a previous contractor on the front stoop was corrected to give a symmetrical shape and long lasting weatherproof surface using aluminum and vinyl siding techniques. This work demonstrates the talent, attention to detail, and superb skills of Aluminum Company of North Carolina. The front, sides and underneath surface of the stoop were removed and redone. The result is astounding.

The next phase of the work was the vinyl siding. Our house is a two-story house with an unusual number of corners and windows. Three of the windows are Pella bay windows that offer an additional challenge for vinyl siding construction. The construction crew of Andrew and Jeremy White had all of the tools necessary to do a superb and safe job. The bending, cutting, laddering, scaffolding, and perhaps most importantly the optical beam leveling equipment showed their investment in their profession. The result demonstrated their skills, attention to detail and a genuine pride in a job well done.

We are writing this to convey our thanks to Andrew and Jeremy White for their superb work in a very cold season of the year. People walk of drive by slowly marveling at the beauty of our new home that Andrew and Jeremy created.

I want you to know how nice it is to do business with a company that still cares. It became clear to me from my first call to your company that you were different. I wanted to talk to a salesperson with expertise that could give me a quote on vinyl siding after answering some questions about my unique building and how to cover it.
I spoke to Wanda that day. She was very nice and helpful and put me immediately in touch with Danny Newman. Danny agreed to stop by my place the next morning, early, as I was going on a trip soon and wouldn't be available. He showed up on time, we discussed the situation, he answered all my questions and gave me a quote. I called him again a day or so later and he worked a little on the numbers and we agreed to a contract. All very pleasant, no pressure or other sales tricks, just straight talk which I appreciated.
I then received a letter dated April 12, 2001 thanking me for my order and providing great information about what to expect in preparation for the job. I found the letter very useful and informative.
Next thing I know Lanny called to see if I could accept a material delivery on Thursday with work to begin the next day. The material was delivered as scheduled and the installation crew stopped by to assure the material was on site and to look at the job site. They began work the next day as scheduled.
I can't say enough about the crew. All three of them, Bobby Penrose, Johnny Hopkins, and Wilbur White were excellent in every respect. I asked them to do a couple of things a certain way and they were very happy to do so. They went the EXTRA MILE so to speak to make sure it was right and I was happy. They cleaned up daily and at the completion of the work. They were obviously very serious about doing a good job and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. They didn't even mind my "looking over their shoulder" all the time they were here. They were a wonderful crew!
Then to top it all off I get a call from June. She wanted to know if I was happy with the job etc. This before the crew has left the premises, I was very impressed. I know this letter has been a bit long winded and for that I apologize, however, I wouldn't go on like this if I wasn't pleased. I will be happy to use your company in the future and please feel free to use me as a reference. Once again, every aspect of this project with your company has been very professional, and enjoyable.

After years in the service industry myself, I know how quickly clients will let you know when your service doesn't meet their expectations. That is why it is important to let business owners know when the job is done right. My wife, Betsy, and I have contracted your organization to do improvements on two of our properties. About two years ago you placed gutter helmets on our new home in Cary, a simple task done well. That type of quality prompted our call when we were prepared to completely remodel Betsy's homestead in Star, NC. The old home needed quite a bit of work. Renovations were complicated by the fact that the house was completely custom built, nothing was standard and no two measurements were the same. Siding, replacement windows, sliding doors, hinge doors, gutters, and gutter helmets would have been a sizeable job for anyone, but termite damage in the detached garage and the original construction being performed during the Cuban Missile Crisis made this a particularly complicated task.

The Aluminum Company of NC assigned the right crew to the task. Bill Hanna and his team have been excellent representatives of your company, as well as the best group of technicians I have had the good fortune to work on any property I have ever owned. Bill's work ethic has obviously rubbed off on all of his people, because you would be hard pressed to find harder working people anywhere. They have taken a hard task, performed in an outstanding manner, never complained, and made us feel like they loved the work. This has truly been a rare experience for my wife and me.

It is common to find clauses in contracts about work being performed in a workman like manner. This simply means that the work will be performed in industry acceptable standards. If the workmen are in the Bill Hanna crew, industry standards aren't good enough. He and his crew are true Craftsmen that take pride in their work, settling for almost or "good enough" isn't enough. Thank you for sending us the best you have, and in our estimation, the best in the business! Betsy thanked Bill for making the house appearance as beautiful as it was when she was growing up. In a joking context, Bill said, "It looks better than it did when you were growing up." As an unbiased party, I believe Bill is exactly right, the house looks better than it has ever looked before. It is a true showplace and your company couldn't have a better advertisement for its work product. I don't know how many people have stopped to look at the house or get your telephone number off the yard sign, but it is certainly alot. Rest assured that anyone asking for a recommendation would get the best possible from me and from Betsy.

Your company recently replaced the roof on our home and installed gutter helmets. Now that the project is finished, the roof looks great and your crew removed every scrap of construction debris and left our yard as neat as a pin. We feel we really got what we paid for and our check is enclosed. The real purpose of this letter, however, is to compliment your company's policy when things go wrong. Soon after the roof was installed, it became obvious that some of the shingles you installed were defective. Some were curled and others discolored. I never had a single moment's doubt that your folks would make it right, but I was surprised when Lanny Pratt told us that the entire job would be done over. Within a few days the crew returned, peeled off the entire roof-not just the defective shingles-and put on a new roof in record time. Not once, during this entire process, did I hear any of your folks grumble or complain. My wife and I are regular listeners to WPTF radio. On Saturday, before Mother's Day, your company was advertising a free bay or bow window. Having a bay window in the den of our home had been a dream of my wife's for some time. I went by and registered for the window. I also had the opportunity to chat with you, Bart, and others who were there. On Wednesday or Thursday of the next week we received a call from Wanda, saying we had won! Besides being surprised and very thankful for the gift, we met Dallas. Dallas measured for the installation of this window, and while he was there we decided to have more windows replaced. The work has been done and Matt and Jim were very professional in their installation. We are very apprecative to you and your Company, and we are also very pleased with everything throughout.

We are about at the end of installation of new windows and shutters in our house, and we are most pleased. The windows are more than satisfactory, and the installation was professional in every way. Back in April 2000, my wife and I talked about having gutters and downspouts added to our home. When I go to work I listen to radio station WPTF (680) and heard a commercial from the Aluminum Company of North Carolina. I jotted down the number and called inquiring about an estimate. The receptionist said she would have a sales representative contact me for a time and date. The next day Dallas Spruill called me and agreed to meet the following night after my wife and I got home from work. Dallas provided us with all the information on the gutters and downspouts to include the helmet guard system. He explained the advantages of this system and said if we ever had to clean the gutters the Aluminum Company would come out and do the job. Needless to say we were impressed. We inquired about the possibility of enlarging our front porch and having it covered. Dallas took some measurements and provided us with the cost estimate and said financing could be arranged. We had several work crews for the various projects and all were top notch. They took the time to answer any questions we had and were always polite and courteous. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding and as a result, our home has been greatly enhanced. We can't say thank you enough, everyone was great to deal with, we strongly recommend the Aluminum Company to anyone thinking about adding value to their home.

I had some doubts of the outcome when we wrote you concerning the failure of the seal on our seventeen year-old replacement windows. Thanks for exceeding our expectations!! I have related the story to several friends and family and they too were surprised at your company's handling of our problem. Not only is the quality of the windows apparent, but the workmanship shown during the installation was, without a doubt, much better than I had ever hoped for. To our family Steve K. was a valued craftsman and someone we could put our faith and trust in. Our 50-year old log home certainily presented certain problems and "peculiarities," but Steve took them all in stride and turned out a beautiful finished product. I normally do not take the time to write a letter to complement someone for a job well done.However, this time is an exception and well deserved. We had 22 windows replaced in ourhome during January 1998. Not only were we completely satisfied with the windows but the service was outstanding. Everyone at your business was very courteous and a delight to deal with. Following are a few examples of extra customer service that your people provided that is hard to find in this day and age: We were dead set against wrapping the trim. I inspected some other homes that had vinyl replacement windows installed and had the trim wrapped with aluminum and I did not care for the look of the trim being nailed in the front. I wanted the windows installed from the inside to retain the wood look. The salesman, Dallas Sprull, said "I think you will appreciate our wrapping once you see how we do it. Let us wrap one window trim then you decide if you want wrapping. We can unwrap it if you decide it's not what you prefer." This was the first example of extra effort to help us make the right decision.

Once we decided to wrap one window trim as a test we were not sure what color or texture of wrap to choose. I called June Crook, the office manager, to discuss the options. Without any hesitation she said, "I can be at your place in 30 minutes with the samples to hold against your house and this will be the best way to make the right decision." She was here in 25 minutes. We were so pleased with the wrapping test we decided to proceed to have them all wrapped. Again, extra effort to please the customer.

The installer, Steve Kuparinen, well I can't say enough to praise this man. He was neat, courteous, fun and did an outstanding job. I really mean "OUTSTANDING". He provided advise and assistance in helping us make the trim wrapping decision. He was extremely conscientious of every installation detail. I'm a stickler for detail and inspect most work very closely and point out areas that do not meet my satisfaction. I am what you call "a contractor's nightmare". I couldn't find a single item in Steve's work that did not completely satisfy me. Steve also removed and re-installed our curtains, drapes and blinds, then washed every window when he was done. He also took the time to explain exactly what and why he was doing each specific step during installation. My wife has a home business and Steve, on his own initiative, made sure he worked away from her office area to minimize noise since she is continually on the phone. When she left the office he would work on the office windows. When he was done and ready to leave, I reached out to shake his hand and as we shook hands he said, "Do you mind if I go in and say good-bye to the Mrs". Wow, what a gentleman and delightful person. On top of all this great service we got a full lifetime guarantee on material and workmanship including seal failure. A very comfortable feeling to have. Needless to say, both my wife and I are 100% satisfied with the windows, workmanship and service. Your prices were in the middle but everything else was at the top.

We want to let you know that our experience with your company was nothing but professional. We are very pleased with the outcome of our new windows. Our house looks great, and I am sure that the utility bills will come down dramatically. It is so quiet and cool in our home now.
